Payments

1Payment Methods We Accept
We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, bank/debit cards (with the Visa or MasterCard logo), checks, PayPal, group invoicing (local District groups only), money orders and cashier’s checks. Currently, we do not accept COD payment.
2Credit Card
We accept Visa or MasterCard (both Credit and debit), Discover, American Express through our website. Select the payment method “Credit Card” during checkout. In addition, we accept credit card by phone. Select payment method "Credit Card by Phone" during checkout. We also accept credit card upon pickup. Select payment method "Pay upon Pickup" during checkout.

Important: For online order, your billing address must match the address that appears on your credit card or bank statement or your payment will be declined. If your billing address is correct and you still receive a decline, call your financial institute to confirm your card is in good standing and that funds are available for this transaction. Their telephone number should be on the back of your credit card.
3Check
We accept personal check, money order, cashiers check and certified bank check by mail for customers within the state of Ohio only. No order minimum. Paying by check may slow down your order, as in some cases, we may not ship until funds clear our bank. There is no delay on money orders or cashiers checks.

To mail in your check or money order payment, go through the online checkout process. When you get to the payment page, select “Check by Mail.” This will bypass the online payment process and allow you to complete your order (and get it into our system). We will keep your order on-hold and once payment is received, process and ship. Please reference your Order # in the check memo.
4A.A. Groups
If ordering for a local group in our District of Cuyahoga, Geauga and Lake counties, we can bill you (provided you have included a valid Group Name/ID during checkout) allowing you to give the receipt to your group treasurer to make payment. Select "Pay upon Pickup" during checkout.

Important: We need either the exact Group Name or Group ID #, as it appears in our system. Help us get your order to you without delay and check the exact group name before you checkout on our website:

- Search meetings.
- In a current meeting schedule.
- Call 1-800-835-1935 Monday thru Friday between 9:00AM-5:00PM (EST) and ask for the Literature Department.
5Tax
8% sales tax applies to Ohio residents only. A tax exemption can be applied to AA Groups within the AA Cleveland District Office service area and organizations with legal tax exempt status. To apply the exemption: During checkout, under the "Tax Exempt?" section, provide the group or organization name for which you are purchasing on behalf of.
6Security
You can safely enter your entire card number and personal information on aacleve.org via our secure server, which encrypts all submitted information. In your web browser address bar, look for the lock icon and 'https'. The S is important (means Secure):

Shipping

1Rates
Real-time UPS and US Postal Service (USPS) rates are calculated during checkout. Rates are based on the weight, shipping method and destination. Packages over 13 oz ship via UPS Ground. Packages under 13 oz ship via USPS First-Class Mail or Priority Mail.
2Shipping Methods
UPS Ground
For packages weighing over 1 lb. Transit time from the date of shipping varies, but is usually 1 day anywhere in Ohio. Note that UPS does not ship to PO Boxes.

USPS First-Class Mail
Transit time from the date of shipping is 1-3 days. Used for packages weighing up to 13 oz. Approximately 98% of packages weighing under 13 oz. ship via this method.

USPS Priority Mail
Transit time from the date of shipping is 1-3 days. Used for packages exceeding the maximum length (11-1/2"), height (6-1/8"), or thickness (1/4") of First-Class.

If you require a different shipping method or carrier (e.g. Next-Day Air, Fed-Ex, etc...) please let us know in the Order Notes section during checkout and we will do our best to accommodate your request. Additional fees may apply.
3Where's My Stuff?
All orders are shipped within 2 business days (processing time) excluding holidays unless there is an issue with payment or product availability. If an issue arises, we will notify you via phone or email. Once shipped, please allow appropriate transit time based on the shipping method selected during checkout for delivery. Processing time + Transit time = Delivery
4Local Pickup
If you live in the 44*** zip code and wish to pick up your order (no shipping fee!) at our Downtown Cleveland office, select the "Local Pickup" shipping option during checkout. Please note, if the provided shipping address does not have a 44*** zip code, this option will be unavailable.
5Discreet Packaging
Your order will arrive in plain packaging and will not have the Alcoholics Anonymous name or logo written on the outside of it.

Be sure that the billing address provided is the same address your credit card / bank statements are mailed to or else you will receive a decline notice during checkout.

You want your order and we want to get it to you as quickly as possible. Please be sure that your shipping address is correct at the time your order is placed. We are not responsible for shipping errors due to an incorrect address.

Returns

1Return Policy
The A.A. Cleveland District Office doesn't accept returns. All sales are final. Therefore, please be aware of all items and quantities being ordered.
2Defective or Damaged Merchandise
If you think an item may be defective or you have receive a damaged item, please contact us. Be sure to reference your Order # in your communications.
3Exchange an Item
The A.A. Cleveland District Office doesn't accept exchanges unless the item is damaged or defective, please contact us. Be sure to reference your Order # in your communications.

1What does the * next to a product name mean?
The asterisk symbol denotes "Conference-approved” literature. The term "Conference-approved" describes written or audiovisual material approved by the Conference for publication by G.S.O. This process assures that everything in such literature is in accord with A.A. principles. Conference- approved material always deals with the recovery program of Alcoholics Anonymous or with information about the A.A. Fellowship. More information.
